Title : A Study of the Importance of Production Learning in Junior High School

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the importance of production learning (wood processing) in junior high school. The results of the analysis indicated that the importance of production learning is composed of 5 factors. Factor 1, "improvement of interest in production learning," Factor 3, "control of working actions in production learning," and Factor 4, "development of resource management in production learning" were closely related, and teachers had a higher awareness of these 3 factors than students. Accordingly, it was suggested that accurate working actions and consideration of resources tended to be related, indicating that teachers should support students to be more interested in production learning. In Factor 2, "deepening one's understanding of knowledge in production learning," students had a higher awareness than teachers. And in Factor 5, "accumulation of practice in production learning," there was no difference between students and teachers. These 2 factors were closely related. Thus it was indicated that practical experience and knowledge tended to be related in production learning. So it is suggested that teachers should develop the learning to confirm the role of knowledge with each other through reflection on the tasks involved.

Abstract
The content of the independent learning process necessary to subsequently raise motivation by holding an image of [mental] slippage, which was induced during the operation of a manual saw, was investigated in the learning of cutting technology. In the introductory stage of learning, the optimum contents of manual sawing were found in which the image of slippage was heightened through detection by multiple senses such as the tactile sense in the hand with the manual saw and the auditory and visual senses by means of verbal explanations and figures. The image of slippage was also able to classify elements that are recognized only by information through the auditory and visual senses, such as images originating from the operability of the manual saw, and the elements [created] by awakening the image based on scientific knowledge, such as saw structure and processing material.

Abstract
In school information education, it is necessary to create a learning environment appropriate for the learner's learning modality. At present, however, there are scant studies that analyze the influence of noise on the learner in a VDT (Video Display Terminal) learning environment and that compare differences among students at different grade levels. For this reason, as a study of the human interface for school information education, we subjected learners to noise during VDT document input work and compared input efficiency and emotional state for learners in each age group.
Using subjects in 8 age groups (sixth grade, junior high, senior high and university freshman), we varied the noise environment configuration in an information study environment in which the students input text from a technology/home economics textbook and examined differences in learners' input efficiency and emotional state according to school age. The results reveal as yet unknown and useful information concerning the influence of noise on text input work efficiency and learner psychology among students at different grade levels.

Abstract
A simple composition regenerative brake is proposed in this paper. This device incorporates an energy storage element composed of an electric double layer capacitor. We analyze an electric vehicle driven by a DC motor equipped with this device as an electromechanical interaction system. In the mathematical formulation, the problem is transformed into the first simultaneous differential equation between the storage charge q of the electric double layer capacitor and the speed v of the electric vehicle. Then, rigorous solutions for q and v are derived from this first simultaneous differential equation. Various theoretical formulas necessary for analyzing the transitional braking characteristics are derived using these two values q and v. The braking characteristics are clarified in the numerical values based on these various formulas. In addition, numerical results are experimentally verified.

Abstract
In this study, in order to clarity the lubrication and thermal problems between the ring and liner of an internal combustion engine, an unsteady thermohydrodynamic lubrication model considering ring temperature and movement in the piston ring groove was developed. Then using a thermohydrodynamic lubrication method, the effect of the geometry of the top ring on lubrication properties such as the oil film thickness, friction loss and heat transfer was analyzed. The ring temperature on the sliding surface shows characteristic temperature distribution, and the temperature difference of ring between the ring's upper face and its middle is about 10 ℃. The oil film thickness changed in a cycle decreases with decrease of ring width. The mean effective pressure of friction and the heat transfer on the ring's sliding face decrease with decrease of the ring width.
